Choose a course

The courses are learning paths through L4, each a sequence of modules with examples and exercises. Take them in order; each module builds on the one before.

Foundation course

The Foundation course is for anyone new to L4, with or without programming experience. In eight modules it goes from a first legal rule to a complete model of a charity registration scheme: types for legal entities, decision logic, functions, and obligations with deadlines and consequences.

Advanced course

The Advanced course is for those who have finished the Foundation course or already write L4. In four modules it covers encoding real regulatory schemes, patterns that recur across rules (deadlines, notices, appeals), contracts in depth, and structuring a real rulebase.
